Through his solo project "Technology and Bones," Alix Tucou presents his latest album, "Music On Canvas." With a meticulous craft of soundscapes made with sound samples related to the life and work of those great Visual Artists, Alix draws their "Sound Portraits" with his Bass Trombone and composes music that engages the imagination of the audience to wander through this imaginary and contemporary Art exhibition. You will discover Live the portraits of Alberto Burri, Jannis Kounellis, Niki de St Phalle, Marina Abramović, Cy Twombly, Yves Klein, Paul Cézanne, René Magritte, and Hilma Af Klint.
After spending 15 years based in France, playing and touring in almost 20 countries with his Bass Trombone in whatever styles he was asked to play (from Classical and Contemporary Music to Progressive Metal, Electronic Music, and Street Art performances), Alix Tucou has moved to the North American continent in 2014.
In 2016, he settled in New York, where he can fully embrace his improvisatory and experimental musical practices and experiences as a freelance Bass Trombone Player.
In 2021, he released his second solo album, "Portraits," in which he uses visual arts as a creating process for Music composition. This modus operandi places the figure of the musician in close relationship with the figure of a visual artist who does not use colors and canvases but, rather, a bass trombone and soundscapes to engage the imagination of the listener.
He is now also a Bilingual Teaching Artist in NYC, where he can transmit his passion for Arts, and a proud member of the Recording Academy.
